Homework Information
Weekly Homework on Seesaw
Homework this year will be all provided on our online platform Seesaw. Each child will be given a unique passcode or QR code to scan. This will allow them to access weekly (differentiated) homework provided by their teachers.
Each week your child will be set homework in the following areas:
- Phonics- to recap sounds learnt in school and to practise applying this sound to spell.
- Maths- an activity linking to the weekly focus/skill.
- Times tables- an activity to practise counting in 2s, 5s, 10s and recalling these facts.
During half term holidays your child will also be set a homework project by their class teacher linking to their new topic. This is your opportunity to get creative at home! We love to show these wonderful projects in class and display these in our classrooms.
The homework projects set can be found at the bottom of the parent flyer that is sent out at the end of each half term.
Reading At Home
A reading record can be found in your child’s book bag. It should be completed at least 3 times per week (by an adult) to record your child's reading at home.
Your child's book bag book will be changed to reflect the sounds that your child knows and stories your child reads in school. We send book bag books home which directly link to the Read Write Inc stories we have enjoyed together in school.
Reading Online
As reading is so important in your child's early education, we reccomend that all children and parents sign up for a free reading account on Oxford Owl.
The website provides you with access to many online e-books that your child can read for enjoyment at home.

If you have a favourite story that you like to read you may also find these read aloud by the author on YouTube.
Remote Learning
In the event of your child self-isolating, all learning will be provided to continue your child's education on our online platform Seesaw. Each child has been given a unique passcode or QR code to scan. This will allow them to access activities provided by their teachers.
