Early Years Foundation Stage

At the end of the reception year, children’s learning and development is assessed against the Foundation Stage Profile which is based on performance against 17 Early Learning Goals. This end of Key Stage assessment enables us to establish whether children have achieved a Good Level of Development.

In 2018 67% of children achieved a Good Level of Development at the end of Early Years Foundation Stage compared to 71.5% nationally

 

Phonics Screening Check  (Year 1)

In 2018 73% of pupils in Year 1 met the phonic check threshold compared to 82.6%  nationally 

 

In Key Stage One (Year 2)

Reading

In 2018 67% of children attained the expected standard compared to 76 nationally,  19 % of children attained greater depth at the expected standard compared to 26%  nationally

Writing

In 2018  63%  of children attained the expected standard compared to 70%  nationally, 6%  of children attained greater depth at the expected standard compared to 16%  nationally

Maths

In 2018 67% of children attained the expected standard compared to 76% nationally. 15% of children attained greater depth at the expected standard compared to 22%  nationally

Combined

In 2018 60% of pupils achieved  the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Mathematics (combined) compared to 65% nationally

Combined Greater depth

In 2018 6% of pupils achieved a high level of attainment in Reading, Writing and Mathematics, compared to 12% nationally
