The More Than Club
Northern Ambition Academy Trust Schools; Oyster Park Primary Academy, Airedale Junior School, Airedale Infant School and Airedale Academy promote and reward good attendance through the 'More Than Club'.
The purpose of the More Than Club is to ensure the importance of good attendance is promoted to the whole school community. The focus of the initiative is to promote the benefits of attending school regularly rather than the consequences of non-attendance. Our ethos is ‘We are more than just a school.’
Attendance targets have been set for the end of each term to reflect the fact pupils do have periods of illness that require time away from school. The initiative aims to allow all pupils to be successful and be celebrated.
Class attendance within Key Stages will be celebrated at each half term, promoting our team ethos of learning and achieving together.
Individual pupils can be nominated by a member of staff at any time to receive an Attendance Superstar Award. This can be for a wide range of reasons from improved punctuality, to maintain attendance above 90%.
