Early Years Foundation Stage

At the end of the reception year, children’s learning and development is assessed against the Foundation Stage Profile which is based on performance against 17 Early Learning Goals. This end of Key Stage assessment enables us to establish whether children have achieved a Good Level of Development.

In 2017 64%  of children achieved a Good Level of Development at the end of Early Years Foundation Stage compared to 69% of children nationally(2016)

 

Phonics Screening Check  (Year 1)

In 2017 63% of pupils in Year 1 met the phonic check threshold compared to 80% nationally (2016)

 

In Key Stage One (Year 2)

Reading

In 2017 68% of children attained the expected standard compared to 74% nationally(2016) 24% of children attained greater depth at the expected standard compared to 24% nationally(2016)

Writing

In 2017  56% of children attained the expected standard compared to 66% nationally(2016) 10% of children attained greater depth at the expected standard compared to 13% nationally(2016)

Maths

In 2017 62% of children attained the expected standard compared to 73% nationally. 16% of children attained greater depth at the expected standard compared to 18% nationally(2016)
